Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operations & Process Management
  • Oversee all back-office functions, including payment processing, settlements, reconciliation, and account maintenance.
  • Ensure seamless digital transaction processing, including deposits, withdrawals, loan disbursements, and credit facility management.
  • Implement automation tools to optimize operational efficiency and minimize manual interventions.
  • Collaborate with IT and front-office teams to enhance system functionality and resolve operational issues.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for back-office activities.
  1. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all back-office processes comply with financial regulations, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and other legal requirements.
  • Work closely with compliance and legal teams to mitigate operational risks.
  • Monitor suspicious activities and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Oversee data security measures to protect sensitive financial and customer information.
  1. Financial Reconciliation & Reporting
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage ledger reconciliation between internal systems and external banking partners.
  • Prepare regulatory and management reports related to transactions, customer balances, and operational performance.
  • Coordinate with finance teams for financial closing and audit requirements.
  1. Technology & System Enhancement
  • Work with IT teams to enhance back-office systems and integrate fintech solutions for scalability and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement automation and AI-driven solutions for fraud detection, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Ensure system reliability and minimize downtime for back-office operations.
  1. Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of back-office professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous skill development.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics for the team.
  • Foster a culture of process improvement, innovation, and accountability.
